Hi Friends ! I wanted to extend an invitation to come hear some live (yes, LIVE) music this Sunday, April 18. Here’s the deal: Since many people missed out on their favorite holidays last year due to travel restrictions, COVID concerns, and the inability to gather with family and friends, the Fountain Hills Saxophone Quartet is putting on a “make-up” concert this Sunday, April 18 at 4:00 p.m. at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church (DHPC). It’s the opening concert of our artist-in-residence concert series. This “make-up” isn’t about lipstick and mascara — it’s about making up for all the holiday celebrations we all missed last year. We’ll be playing music from all the biggest holidays of the past 12 months — St. Patrick’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. We’ll also be celebrating everyone’s 2020 birthdays in a special way! And of course, the concert will include the funny and fascinating stories behind the music we play. If you’re looking for something to do on Sunday afternoon, please join us! DHPC is located at 34605 N. Tom Darlington Rd., at the corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Carefree Hwy., by those fabulous big boulders that sit right at the entrance to the town of Carefree. Call me if you have any questions, or visit our fantastic new web site at www.fhsaxophones.com . You can also get info at deserthills.org. Best regards, Heather
